Harlock U is a TTRPG set on a college campus in a world full of secrets, magic, mystery, and danger. Play as a student learning about the waking world of magic hiding all around you!
These creatures are most often based upon myths, legends, and cryptids in the USA, but some take a more fantastical route.
A Prank, a mystical trap brewed up by some real prankster alumni that now plagues certain, unlucky lockers on campus
Mothman, a fuzzy creature of legend that everyone wants to get their eyes on
Training Dummies, robots built to hone the student's battle prowess in the Arena
Deor, not-deer, or deer-like, a creature of many names and many eerie stories
A Rumor, a monster very specific to the walls of schools across the globe, the biggest enemy the un-popular could imagine to face
Jackalope, a hare with the antlers of an antelope (instead of the typical depiction of a deer's antlers)
Mystery Meat, fingers crossed it isn't on the menu in the cafeteria today
The Jersey Devil, more of a 'handsome devil' in this adaptation, where he prides himself on his ability to make a stellar cup of tea and con the souls out of weary, wandering travelers
A Gremlin, the culprit of every student's missing homework, lack of pencils, and snatched mid-class snacks
Buddies, little plant-based helpers that add a certain magical flair to potions and brews that require a vegetal component
Goatman, a feared and dangerous monster with many legends and a trail of rumored bodies
Ghouls, the unreleased souls of the deceased who are tethered to objects of their past lives
Fishman, a story some consider comical but others consider a warning of the power of the fae
Sasquatch, large, timid, easily scared creatures of the forest that would prefer to be left alone. Regional variants include Bigfoot and Yeti.
